Most of the songs sung at a Pow-Wow are intertribals. They are songs that are meant for all dancers to come together and dance, regardless of style. However, there are several dances that require special dance steps, special styles of dancing, or can only be danced by certain kinds of dancers.

Hoop Dancer

The Crow Hop is a traditional dance where dancers prance around the dance arbor in the style of birds walking.

The Hoop Dance is a solo dance using hoops to for acrobatics and to exhibit the talent of an individual dancer.

Round Dance

Early in the Pow-Wow, the drum will likely play several round dances. Round dances signify the uniting of the dancers and all people.
