The Crow Hop is a dance for traditional and old style dancers.

The Crow Hop is usually found later in the Pow-Wow. When done correctly, it is a very interesting song.

Crow Hop

In the Crow hop, traditional dancers follow the circle much like they would any intertribal.

The songs sung for the Crow Hop tend to sound "sassy" or "mocking". They follow a standard beat, but may sound slightly slower.

For a Crow Hop, the dancer changes his movements to be somewhat bird-like. The Dancer abandons the Toe-Heel step in the Crow Hop. Instead the dancer steps with every beat of the drum, with the feat slightly pointed out from each other. The head may be bobbed in a slightly exaggerated style, mocking the head movements of a bird. The dancer's arms are held with his hands close to his waist, but his elbows out wide.
